The interest in the implementation of systems that could establish direct communication with the human brain has grown to such an extent that to date applications have been proposed for the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of a wide variety of diseases with neurophysiological and neuropsychological affectation.
Excellent blog post and I like that it focuses on one particular example of brain-computer interfaces like Neuralink. What was the reason for choosing neuralink as an example of these interfaces? and analyzing the applications. What do you think is the most important factor driving technological development in this area, health or entertainment?
Hey Max! Thanks for your comment. We chose Neuralink because it's the one media talks more about. People is very enthusiast because it's CEO, Musk, is very driven in his projects and seems to be life changing.
I believe that the main interest in this technologies is the application of them in disabled people. This devices might allow them to interact with technology easier and to enhance themselves.
The post of this week was very impressive. Elon Musk is developing great technology with his companies and Neuralink is not an exception. I think the technology that the Link device promises could be a great revolution in the BCI field.
I like the explained topic, I knew this BCI but only the basic things and you explained so well all around neuralink. I know that this technology has been financed by a multimillionar, Elon Musk, and any others BCI's technologies also have this type of financing because of the level of advanced knowledge and technologies to apply so, how do you think this researches could be more accessible to all the people even without a millionaire financing, or do you think it's necessary this quantity of money?
Great post. I am really impressed by the neuralink BCI, it is incredible how technology can help us to understand how our brain works. Do you think in the future BCIs can be used by everyone?
The way in which this technology is progressing has seemed surprising to me and it promises to be a helpful tool for people with motor problems, as well as that it can penetrate into people's daily lives as an aid in our activities. But don't you think that this technology increases the existing social gap? Well, not everyone could access it so easily. (JAM)
Hello! Excellent blog entry. It's interesting how this device could help treat disabilities. Do you think that in a future these technologies could be available for everyone, meaning it could be affordable? Or do you believe these kinds of technologies are driven by the fact of industries or persons being pioneers in the BCI area?
Hey Mónica! Yes, Neuralink approach is to automate surgery and make accesible to everyone. The easiest the implementation of this technology, the most accesible it becomes. There's a lot of interest in BCI development mainly because they enable disabled people to interact with technology easier. And in the future some of this advances might allow humans to enhance their abilities and knowledge.

If you could try this device, would you?
